The Kira Elizabeth Designs label can be described as unique and non-traditional with a bit of vintage flair and great attention to detail. Architecture and travel play a strong role in the inspiration process and each gown is incidentally named after these settings. While pale colors are often an aesthetic of the Kira Elizabeth Designs label, most gowns can also be made in a traditional ivory. All gowns are designed and carefully made in our Charleston studio and have the option of being customized to suit the wearer.
In addition to the label collections, we also offer custom design services. We will work closely with you from start to finish with initial sketches to patterns made from your own measurements to the finished gown. The extensive process requires many meetings with the designer to get the design and fit just right. Not only will you be getting everything you want in a wedding gown, but you will also get a unique, once in a lifetime personalized experience.
Ever consider using a dress as your “something old?” Most people are not able to look past the outdated style of an heirloom gown. This is where Kira Elizabeth Designs comes in. Using the heirloom gown as inspiration, we will sketch out and make a new design using as little or as much of the old dress as you desire. Either way, your end result will be a custom created and the sentimental piece that will leave everyone in awe.
Couture Gowns, Heirloom Redesign, and Custom Options
Working with Kira Elizabeth was the best decision I ever made. From the first meeting, she was able to sketch my dream dress with me just giving her my vision. Every step of the process was stress free. She was able to order the exact material that I wanted to create my dream wedding dress. The fit, quality, and detail of her work is truly amazing and rivals all of the high end wedding dress designers. Being able to design your own custom wedding dress with some one who is so talented, is every bride’s dream come true. I felt like a million dollars!
Kira did my dress alterations and created a brooch bouquet for myself and my maid of honor and flower girl. She was very easy to work with and the quality of her work was top notch. She even did alterations for my flower girl dress the day before the wedding, when my flower girl arrived in town and her dress was too small. My bouquets turned out exquisite. My bustle was awesome and not a traditional bustle but very easy to put up the day of the wedding. I wish I could post a picture of my bouquet. It was prettier than I could imagine and I do have to say, it brought tears to my eyes the first time I saw it.
Alterations and Bouquets
I needed alterations for an evening gown I wore to a military ball. Kira was not only very sweet, but very professional. Her expertise in dressmaking and fashion all together is top notch. I would highly recommend her.
